The ColeMine has added a few toys.  We have a beautiful new DW Collector Series drum kit, with Paiste and Sabian cymbals.  And a lovingly maintained Fender Jazz Bass (Marcus Miller edition) is on its way here from the world of Ebay.

We had an open house on July 29, to formally inaugurate the studio.  Among the guests: drum superhero Chester Thompson, producer Rick Chudacoff, mastering engineer Randy Leroy (Final Stage Mastering, Nashville), and former Santana keyboardist Chris Rhyne.

My web guru Kat Sikorski came down from Syracuse, NY to provide invaluable assistance in the getting everything up and running.

I performed in Bermuda this past week and also accompanied jazz singer Jaimee Paul in an evening of standards and jazz originals. Watch this name; she’s on her way. We’re currently working on arrangements for Jim Wilson’s new piano project.  More to follow.

(Check out new pix in both the Studio and Sights folders.)

“Loaded up the truck and we moved to Tennessee . . .”

Hello all. Brad Cole here, the pensive individual you see above in the banner.

After 28 years of life in Los Angeles, I decided to leave the West Coast – swimming pools, movie stars – and move to Nashville, Tennessee. We now live in a suburb called Bellevue (no relation to the famous mental hospital), in a very cute neo-Colonial home with a fabulous recording studio facility.

This studio, designed by Nashville studio architect Michael Cronin, has five rooms in approximately 1000 sq ft: Control room, recording room, kitchenette/lounge, machine room, and guest bathroom.

The new home of The ColeMine.

Also, we are revising and improving the ColeMine website, thanks to the invaluable help of my friend Kat Sikorski. We have plenty of pictures of the new digs, a complete equipment inventory, and other goodies. Also some new collages of my work over the years, and links to many of the artists I have worked with.

In the last year, I have completed another segment of the Phil Collins First Final Farewell Tour, visiting countries in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. I’ve done arrangements for Stephen Bishop and pianist Jim Wilson, played on the “single” version of that infamous Paris Hilton hamburger video, and finally released “Pure Love”, the record I produced with guitarist Michael Rosati. Please go to CD Baby and give this one a listen. It’s nice!

OK. So, enjoy the improved website, the Nashville studio is up and running and you can reach me at:
