The ColeMine is a Pro Tools-based project recording studio, a place where artists can create and record in a comfortable, pressure- free environment.
The studio was built by it’s previous owner, Michael Hodge, from a studio design by Michael Cronin of Acoustic Construction. The 24’x10’ control room uses a live end / dead end design and is accurate to 20hz. The 14’x12’ recording room uses tunable baffles to create different room acoustics.
Separating the recording and control rooms is a small machine room containing the computers, drives, and other noisemakers. There are clear sight lines between the recording and control rooms. Double-walled construction and acoustically designed HVAC throughout the studio guarantee a virtually silent recording space.
There is a small lounge area with kitchenette and bathroom, and the back patio is available for hanging out on a hot summer afternoon or evening.
Music is a collaborative art and we want to provide a place to make music free of distractions, intrusions, and interruptions.
And, it sounds great here.
